Cross Engineers has provided electrical design services for Washington State Parks and Washington State Department of Natural Resource facilities throughout the State of Washington for over 30 years. Projects for Washington State Parks facilities at Fort Worden, Fort Flagler, Cape Disappointment, Blake Island State Park, Penrose State Park, Millersylvania State Park, Dosewallips State Park, Ike Kinsawa State Park. Projects have included new facilities, expansions and remodels. Projects for Washington State Department of Natural Resources range from multiple tree coolers, multiple radio towers, maintenance facilities, generators, and Webster Nursery Campus medium voltage distribution.

Cross Engineers provided design for overall site power, site lighting, boardwalk lighting, event power, boat moorage power, new bathhouse and lighting for three (3) pavilions. Cross Engineers’ LEED responsibilities included Site Lighting and Controllability Credits.
Cross Engineers provided the electrical design for this 74,000 square foot recreational facility. Design included lighting, power, fire alarm and sound system upgrades. Currently Cross Engineers is the electrical engineer for the design team selected to implement the 2019-2023 Sprinker Park Master Plan.
Cross Engineers provided master plan electrical design along with Phase I (parking, picnic shelter, restroom) and Phase II (splash pad) electrical design. Future projects will include new electrical service to the site and ballfield LED lighting design.
Cross Engineers is currently designing the removal, conversion and undergrounding of an existing 4.16KV (5KV) electrical system to a 12.47 (15KV) electrical back bone system for Metro Parks Point Defiance and the Tacoma Yacht Club. Coordination and scheduling stake holders include Metro Parks, City of Tacoma, City of Ruston, Environmental Protection Agency, Tacoma Public Utilities and Tacoma Yacht Club.
In April of 2011 a fire damaged the historical Point Defiance Pagoda located in Tacoma, WA. Cross Engineers provided electrical design services to include the restoration and upgrades of slab radiant heating, lighting, power, and fire alarm.
Pioneer Park in Aberdeen, six (6) ball fields (2 Little League, 1 Babe Ruth, 3 softball) were damaged by high winds in 2007 and the electrical systems condemned due to extensive damage and age. The City of Aberdeen selected Cross Engineers as the prime consultant to design field lighting and new electrical infrastructure for the park.
Cross Engineers along with GeoTech and Structural sub-consultants prepared electrical and field lighting bid documents, specifications and construction cost estimates for all fields within a 60 day period. Soil conditions in the Grays Harbor area are very poor. Light poles required pile supported concrete bases. The project was funded by FEMA.

Cross Engineers as a sub-consultant to Anchor QEA designed the removal of aerial power, communications and pole mounted street lighting along Lake Washington Blvd NE for conversion to underground as part of a new waterfront park project.
